Alphabet
Fill a basket up with 26 small things representing different letters of the alphabet (i.e., an apple for A, a
ball for B, a piece of candy for C, etc.), use puffy paint to write ABC's on card stock (children can feel
with their fingers, trace with their fingers and then practice writing them), write alphabet with a
permanent marker on cardboard, Laminate and then add dry erase markers to practice printing,
stencils, journals, spiral notebook,  pencil, crayon, marker, colored pencil, play dough with alphabet
cookie cutters

Arctic
stuffed polar bear, toy or puppets, cotton balls, Styrofoam packing peanuts, books about snow, ice or
arctic animals, white modeling clay, small arctic animals, books on weather, blocks to build igloos or ice
cube trays to freeze ice for "real" igloos, mittens, knitted hats, parka, snowshoes, collect empty bottles
(wash and peel off labels) then use for arctic bowling, photographs of arctic animals, a variety of
shimmery, snowflake patterned, white, and/or ice blue fabric pieces
