All the DAZE Productions 2011 Support Staff: Noël Keag (Come Play with Clay Workshop Facilitator) In its simplest form, pottery has always been the blending of the four elements: earth, water, air, and fire. But it is the fifth element, Art that breathes life into clay. Art combines beauty with function to give an otherwise common piece uncommon value. This is the philosophy that Noël Keag follows in her own work. In a very short time, she has grown from collector to student potter to artist drawing on styles and forms from all over the world. The "Come Play with Clay" workshop will provide educators an introduction of pottery. Each person will learn several techniques and skills to expand the use modeling materials. By participating, playing and getting your hands dirty, you will learn the value of this art medium and its potential for the education and creative expression of young children. Everyone will take home a piece of pottery made during the workshop. | What People are Saying "I was with the workshop a few hours ago at the Richmond Hill and I want to thank you for giving me new, fresh and different perspective in making programming and having activity fun and exciting for the children next week. I came in the house and looked for things that I could bring and put on my special treasure bag on Monday. Now, I will always think of the children every time I see an item that would be valuable for them to play with, enjoy and learn. Thanks again and Have a Blessed Year!" Henrietta "It was a pleasure meeting you at the Joy of Childhood Conference yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed your Design a Bag of Tricks workshop.
